Our saunas are basically Finnish or Siberian ones. Apart from Family and friends, the Bastu (sauna) is what I miss most when I'm elsewhere. /Martin Saunas are more a Northern Swedish thing than a Swedish thing. I, like Martin probably did, grew up with a sauna in the back yard, fired with birch...there's nothing like looking at the stars on a cold winter night with the steam billowing off you! I didn't know Swedes had saunas, as well! Saunas are the true mark of civilisation...the only way to bathe! Oh, I miss a real sauna!
